my dog, Abby, just had back surgery 2 months ago for a mive herniated disc. It made her spinal cord bleed. Time was of the essence. Took her in right away and had surgery. It has been 2 months and my baby girl is walking and running now. Still a long ways to go in recovery but the outlook is good. So I would have to say it was possible to fix the problem as long as you take them in for surgery right away.
