Event vs Gore Tex Jackets?

Gore Tex is the way to go. As waterproof as your gonna get and extremely breathable. I've rode up the lift with guys this year during bad snow or rain storms that had non gore tex stuff and they were all complaining of how they were soaked underneath their pants, yet i've never had anything get thru my goretex jacket and pants
