atiel Questions. Please Answer!?

So about 3 months ago I bought a male pied atiel. Well I worked super hard with him and now he trusts me. But he does the weirdest things. Whenever I get him out of his cage, the immediate first place he goes is my left shoulder. And it's always my left shoulder, never my right one. and if I try to put him on my leg he'll run all the way up my body and go back to my left shoulder. And if I try to put him on the right one he always goes back to the left! So I was wondering, is this normal for atiels to do? Do atiels normally have a favorite spot to sit on your body? And another thing, when he sits on my shoulder I turn my head and look at him, and then he looks at my nose and starts to rub his face on my nose back and forth! I call it snuggling. He started to do that about a week and a half ago. So is this normal for atiels to do also? Is he just showing his affection to me? I give him kisses all the time, so is this his way of giving me kisses back? Please answer, Thank You!
