Gonna buy a Dell Inspiron 530, is this dual core processor worth the extra 60 bucks? (among other q's)?

First of all What are you going to be using the computer for? Browsing/homework/fooling around or are u gonna be using a lot of applications (Word, excel, etc...)/gaming? If it's just for family use or to mess around with the intel celeron processor will be just fine. If, however, you are going to use it for apps and such then the dual core might be a better choice. Dual core will run more smoothly/cooler when put under stress. As far as vista goes I'm not too positive. I'm not a big fan of vista so I stick to XP. Lastly, a modem will allow you to access the internet, if you have internet through an isp. You're better off just going through a provider such as Comcast, att dls, or others. They will provide the modem and service. So, if anything were to happen to the modem it would be covered and no charge would incur.
