I need help installin xp on my pc, Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!?

When i go to put my xp disc in my drive and boot up to it it loads files then i get to the part where it asks me to choose what partiton I want to install xp on and as soon as i hit the arrow i get a blue screen sayin theres a problem with caching or shdowing in BIOS and video adapters and the error was a setupdd.sys file and the other thing i did was i have windows 2000 on a hard drive and i tried loadin xp on there but it said its not a supported path so it could not continue. HMMM.... What can I do?
