Im worried about my friend?

Okay so I have a friends who feels really stressed abiout his girlfirends. He wont tell me much upset the fact that they have been fighting for a month. They both dont wnat to break up but that their only choice or something.My friends told me that he wants to smokw again becasue he dosent know what to do. He was addicted to drugs before. Were in high school adivce anyone?
